The meaning behind the BC Curriculum is to establish consistent elements and expectations in the classroom. There needs to be learning standards and tools for all students to have the experience and ability to encounter information in all classrooms. The curriculum is built to provide required content to all of the students in schools, and educate students on important information that they can continuously build through their years of schooling. It is the expectations that you create a learning environment for the students to have access to everything listed in the curriculum, and it is their right to have this information taught to them. This is important in the classroom becasue it sets standards and requirments for what students should know at the end of their year.
